(Alternative to BYK 346)
Silicone surfactant for aqueous coatings, printing inks and overprint varnishes with strong reduction in surface tension resulting in significantly improved substrate wetting. No increase in surface slip. Not affect recoatability.
SURFADIOLS 346 is suitable for waterborne wood coatings, inks and UV curing systems, with defoaming effect.

Special properties
The additive provides a large decrease in surface tension in aqueous systems and therefore improves substrate wetting and leveling in particular. Foam stabilization does not occur or only very minimally and recoatability is not affected. The additive does not increase surface slip.
Scope of application
The additive is suitable for waterborne wood coatings, waterborne industrial coatings, UV curable coatings, inks and other systems.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions
The additive is preferably added to the finished formulation. It can, however, be added at any stage during production.
Recommended Levels
0.1-1 % additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation.
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal dosage levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
Package and storage
The standard package is 25kg pails and 200kg drums. One pallet can load 18 pails or 4 drums.
Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place. When stored in an original unopened packaging, the product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture.
